Now first, I should tell you all about my favorite fairy tale! It's a little uncommon mind you...
(title will take you to Wikipedia for story)
Ever since I read this fairy-tale in a collection we have I've been really intrigued by it. It's a wonderful story about a girl saving her brothers and it's always strung some chord in me. I love all the common ones, but I also love really different and not as known, but I still love it! It's beautiful so I really recommend you trying to read the original tale or some retelling. Below you can find some links to retellings of the story.
~Daughter of the Forest by Juliet Marillier
~The Swan Kingdom by Zoe Marriott
Okay, so are you ready to see what you can win? Of course you are!
Your Book Choices:
The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale
She can whisper to horses and communicate with birds, but the crown princess Ani has a difficult time finding her place in the royal family and measuring up to her imperial mother. When she is shipped off to a neighboring kingdom as a bride, her scheming entourage mounts a bloody mutiny to replace her with a jealous lady-in-waiting, Selia, and to allow an inner circle of guards more power in the new land. Barely escaping with her life, Ani disguises herself as a goose girl and wanders on the royal estate. Does she have the pluck to reclaim her rightful place?
OR..
Entwined by Heather Dixon
Azalea and her younger sisters dance in the mysterious silver forest every night, escaping from the sadness of the palace and their father’s grief. What they don’t understand—although as time passes they begin to get an inkling of the danger they are in—is that the mysterious and dashing Keeper is tightening his snare with deadly purpose. Luckily, Azalea is brave and steadfast. Luckily, a handsome young army captain also has his eye on Azalea. .

I love fairy tales! It's too hard to pick a favorite. I guess Cinderella was my favorite Disney movie as a kid. I've read both of the books on your giveaway and loved them! I'd pick Entwined since I don't own that one. Thanks for the great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteThere isn't a blank to fill in for the 'what is your GFC name' so I just clicked enter.
DeleteMy favorite fairy tale would have to be Snow White. I have both of these books on my to be read pile, but I'll have to pick Entwined.
ReplyDeleteI also just clicked on the enter key, my GFC name is just Tiffany
Thanks for the giveaway!!!! :)
Awesome giveaway! My favourite fairy tale would probably have to be Beauty and the Beast.
ReplyDeleteThey're both books I really want to read, but I think I would pick The Goose Girl.
~Nessima of Arda Nessimava
Sorry about the GFC problem. Didn't catch that! So yeah, I'kk just trust your word about it. :D Thanks! Or check your google profile... :D
ReplyDeleteI love fairy tales especially the 'bloody' ones. My favorite fairy tale retelling(s) would be Cloaked by Alex Flinn. It's a mish mash of fairy tales some of them known, most of them kind of unknown. It also has the wild swans fairy tale in there. ^.^
ReplyDeleteP.S. My favorite tale would have to be... Beauty and the Beast. Because it kind of tells you that personality is better than looks.
DeletePPS. And the book I would probably want is Entwined (even though I already read it). It's just a good book. ^.^
DeleteAnd sorry for the many blog comments.
I love Beauty and the Beast, it's such a beautiful fairytale!
ReplyDeleteI would love Entwined if I won and my GFC name is just Beverley :)
Thanks for the giveaway!
One of my favorite fairytales is Snow White. I would love to win Entwined.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway. :)
Also, I'm following under Melissa's Midnight Musings on GFC
DeleteMy favorite fairy tale is probably Beauty and the Beast I would love to win either one of these books but maybe more-so The Goose Girl. Thanks for having a giveaway :)
ReplyDelete~ Lady Carliss
My favorite fairy tale is definitively Cinderella. I just love the whole idea of a ball & magic & fairy Godmothers. I would love to win ENTWINED! Thanks 4 the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteLisseth @read-a-holicz.blogspot.com
My favorite fairy tale is Sleeping Beauty, because to love someone after 100 years is pretty stinkin sincere, not to mention romantic. =) Thanks for the giveaway. I would pick Entwined if I won.
ReplyDeleteBTW- thanks for the sweet comment on my blog. I've been blogging for about a year now, but I need to really immerse myself in it and truly become part of the blogging world. I haven't done any giveaways yet, but when I get ready to do that, I'll be sure to get in touch with you so you can give me any tips you have! I'd love to discuss books or blogging anytime. =)
