The Book in 3 Words: Beautiful, Emotional, Incredible
Thoughts: This is one of my favorite books EVER. It is such a sweet story that just pulls you in. Kathy's voice is incredible. You just get to know Kathy, her faults and flaws, her desires and her strengths. I loved the great flavor that you see in her.
Kathy has grown up as the baby of the family and her family just can't stop talking about her older brother that she never knew. As she learns more about him through reading the journal he wrote specifically for her it was just so sweet. Because you get a whole new character through Brett just reading about his own struggles. It's all fiction but it's so beautiful. I cried and one point. I loved Jason. He was a great guy who I really enjoyed reading about. He had character you got to know him and as you see him go through struggles you just feel for him. Same with all the other characters. They were so well crafted.
Kay wrote a superb book. You want to laugh and cry and just feel happy when you read this book. I flowed so well and was written in a way that just kept you interested. I was sad it was over and I really can not think of anything I didn't like. Highly Recommended as a wonderful contemp read.

The Book In 3 Words: Beautiful, Inspiring, Breathtaking
Rad Review: I was super lucky to have Melissa herself ask me to review this book for her. She sent me an e-book copy and I read it on my Mac in a day. This is one of those books that just impacts you. The Make-You-All-Tingly-Inside books. The themes of this book were healing and redemption in a way and I think it was beautifully portrayed.
The things that Bailey had to heal from were so sad and just crushing it made the book more what it was. I loved reading about the relationship and connection that Collin and Bailey formed and had. To me it almost felt a little to fast but it was just breathtaking all the same. When she shared the story at times from Collin's POV (and another character who shall not be mentioned), it drove the story home. It gave a bother layer that added to the incredibleness of the tale. I delved into both sides of the healing and growing for Collin and Bailey.
One thing that I just have to say I loved was Collin's devotion to Lacey. Having quite a few younger siblings I find that books that have that kind of a family bond are just beautiful to me. I've only read one other book where the boy was so devoted to his little sister. Little Riley and Lacey did add just sweet and precious moments.
I'm so glad I had the opportunity to read this incredible novel. Thank you so much Melissa for the gift!

Review: I would give this book 10 stars if I could! This is one of the BEST BOOKS EVER! It can be life-changing. Sean Covey takes the 7 habits from The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and applies this to teenagers and their lives. He makes really great points.
I loved reading this. Sean Covey makes it fun to read with great stories, cute drawings, comics and thinking activities. It really made me think. It is also really uplifting and inspiring. Every Teen should read this books at least once. This is a MUST-READ!!
