*sing-song voice* I absolutely adore this book! It's the epitome of a chick-flick with all the right elements. Innocence, Romance and nerdom. Eep! This is like my secret guilty pleasure. I adore books like this that have a fun, witty character and a deliciously sweet romance. And The Summer I Became A Nerd fulfills all those requirements.

Maddie is a really great MC. She's nerdy, yes, but she has a very real side to her. I loved how easily it was to just slip into her shoes and see the story from her perspective. Her nerdiness was so fun! I'm not a nerd in her regard, but it was really fun to read about her "obsession" if you will. I have my own geeks and so I could totally understand where she was coming from. But beyond that, she's very honest with herself. She's keeping this big secret and her thought process is real and very understandable. Not to mention, how she deals with the romance. Which...brings me to my next issue. Or shall I say, *happy dance*.

I heart this romance so much. Like I'm not even kidding. It's a sweet, very fun, very chick-flick, and it works so well. Two innocents connecting and falling for each other in a way that makes you all giddy and giggly. Eep! And LOGAN. I heart the name. I heart the boy. I heart him. He's so awesome. Just, AWESOME. I wish I really was in Maddies she's so I could give him a peck myself. Hehe. It's so much fun watching these two nerds grow together and find themselves in each other. Just AAAW.

So honestly, that's like it. If I keep going it's gonna be all squeals. This book is well written, flirty and full of Squee! It's very fun to read along with Maddie in her secret nerd world, and to fall in love with Logan at the same time. It's put together so well that all these delicious little elements make a sweet treat of a book. I could totally see this being a cupcake. And now I've brought up food so this is my cue to sign off. Anyway. I highly recommend this book, for those of you who adore sweet romances and nerdisms. It's well played and very very enjoyable.
