If you haven't read this one yet, what are you waiting for?! GET ON IT!! These are some of the best books ever! READ!

What made you want to become a writer?
I always thought it'd be fun. When my best friend knew someone who had published with Harlequin it suddenly became a possibility. I thought, "If I can reach out and touch someone who's been published, then maybe I can get published too." I started writing my novel at that point. Two years later it was published.
Describe your book in 5 words.
WATERFALL: Modern girl meets medieval boy.
In one sentence, what makes your books unique?
I like to put normal people in extraordinary circumstances.
Hardest part of the writing process for you?
Getting my butt in the chair to concentrate. Once I'm there, I'm fine. But getting there? It's a tough, distracted road.
What inspired the idea for your books/series?
I always loved time travel and historical novels. But my teenage daughters don't. So I wrote it for them--I was striving for epic adventure and romance.
You're stranded on a desert island with one book. What is it?
The Bible. Sorry. That might sound rote, but there's a ton in there that I still need to read and ponder.
What is your favorite kind of scene to write?
ACTION, baby.
What is the best piece of advice you could give to an aspiring author?
Keep learning, keep writing, keep reading. Read what you want to write. Read, in particular, authors you want to sound like. The more you read and write, the more your own voice will emerge.
As far as I'm aware, all your books for YA/Adult center around a historical time period. Is there something about history that you love so much?
It immediately puts me in a storyteller frame of mind. It's just harder for me to capture in the present. But put me back in time and the story starts spinning itself in my head...
Do you have a favorite time period?
Nope. I love all of history. But if I had to pick, I'm kinda into this medieval era.
In your series for Yound Adults, your two main love interests of the sisters are Marcello, the dark hottie, and Luca, the funny blonde boy. Are you Team Luca or Team Marcello?
Marcello, though I adore Luca.
Do you have any more novella plans to continue the dashing Italian tale after Tributary?
DELUGE, coming later in 2013. :-)
Any inspiration for the Grand Tour? Did you take one yourself?
Wanted to, but couldn't afford it! I've done a fair amount of traveling, and someday, I'd love to live abroad. So I guess it's a chance to travel vicariously through my characters. :-)
Peanut M&Ms or Skittles?
Root Beer Floats or Ice Cream Sundaes?
Book or Movie Adaption?
Thor or Captain America?
But I want Thor's hair.
Blonde or Brunette?
Mess or Organization? Organized mess.
14th or 21st Century?
I like my creature comforts. But I like going to the 14th Century in my head.
