Hi from the Monticello Gardens!
It's been over two months since my last post. TWO MONTHS! And besides that I've only posted 18 times this year, and twice in the last 6 months. This is just sad. I even missed my Blogoversary in May and my birthday later in August! Things have been crazy and I just had to pop in for an update and to say hi! And also that 2015 is going to  be the year I get back into blogging (if only part-time)! But more on that in a minute. I figure I owe all of you a bit of a life update beyond any Tweets you may have seen.

I think I've mentioned back in January that school has been a priority and on the side I've just been enjoying life (back in January, sheesh!) That is still true! I started doing concurrent enrollment at the community college nearby in August and had a great semester. Partly because I was taking an Italian class, which is something I've wanted to learn for a long time, and it is just SO MUCH fun! I'm loving it, and had such an awesome teacher. Ciao!

Gettysburg!
So my fall has been filled with midterms, enjoying the World Series (yay Giants!), as well as trips to the East Coast(pictured above & to the left) and Disneyland! Recently in December I've been swamped with Christmas choir performances, finals, sickness and then Wisdom Teeth this week! But despite it all blogging has never been far from my mind. Especially when my favorite blog friends remind me how much they miss me. (Love you guys!!!) And that's why with 2015 and New Years Resolutions around the corner  I'm going to get my blogging back on track!

My goal at the moment is just to post once a week at minimum. I've been reading so much great stuff this past week over break and even the past few months that I want to tell you guys what I've been reading and discuss things with you guys! So you can expect one post each week! I don't know if posts will be limited to one day or anything like that yet, but we'll see where this goes. I'm just going to focus on posting what I want and reviewing what I love! No more tours or obligations for a while, just books! If there's anything you want to see from me(discussions, opinions, tags, etc) let me know guys! I'm down for fun discussions and topics as well as reviews and book love. Anything you've read that you want to recommend? I'd love to see those as well!

With that quick note, I will see you all next week, if not later this week, with a review or something fun. I hope you have all had an AMAZING holiday season spent with family and friends! Let me know what you guys have been up to and reading lately! Let's talk it up on Twitter or down below!

Love you all!

The biggest issue that I've had with my blogging lately is figuring out how to balance it with my off-the-internet life. I LOVE blogging and not having enough time for it is just...not fun.

Recently life has just been shoved in my face as I'm growing up and entering those years where EVERYTHING happens. School, which has always been a struggle for me is now a necessary priority and I have so many questions and things to think about. I've had to spend a lot of time trying to get myself on track with that, and I think it's finally working. I’ve been working harder and finding it so much more enjoyable than it was before.

However, on the side of that all my extra-curricular events take up a lot of time, and who doesn't love to socialize? NOT THIS GIRL! It's all just been a blur of experiences and school to me. What little time I have left to write posts I want to use to relax by jamming to music or reading. [And quite possibly wasting on social media. ]

So watching my subscriptions every morning and reading content from my favorite bloggers nearly ever yday has left me wondering how the heck they have time for it? How are you amazing people so on the ball and able to schedule weeks or even months(**Nikki**) in advance? Some of you are students some are not! I just feel so blown over with it all. And you guys blow me away with your continued ability to stay on track.

I'm not giving up on blogging at all just because life is crazy. I'm not giving up because I have a ton of reviews to write and it's not getting lighter. I love blogging, I can't give that up! I just wish I had more ideas and things to push me to get on some sort of schedule instead of cramming posts in occasionally. Even if it’s not every single day!

So all you frabjous people, tell me honestly, what is your trick? What works best for you! I want to know!

XOXO,

Hey guys!!! So, today I'm doing something a little different. My Nator Twin Jessi has begun a new meme on her blog called Life of a Blogger, discussing aspects of our lives outside of books! Today's topic is Your Career, and since I've been thinking a lot about that lately, I thought it would be fun to do a post about it!

In The Present:

Because I have a high school student, and a minor I don't really have much of a job yet. I have done quite a bit of babysitting for the past four years that was my main source of income. I still do that, and have a few families I love, but recently I took on the venture of teaching beginner piano lessons. I have 5 weekly students with a couple sets of siblings who I teach. This is a lot more stable than the occasional babysitting, and it's a very interesting experience for me! Espescially dealing with the business aspect, since I do it myself.

If I did get a job outside of these, I have two that I really want to try and apply for next year since I am old enough now to do so. First, I'd love to work as a tour guide at the Winchester Mystery House, which is down the street from me and would be the FUNNEST JOB EVER. It's such a crazy and cool house, and it would match my love of history so much!! Plus, they hire minors! For tours? I hope so!

My second teen dream job would be this adorable indie book store also somewhat close that I LOVE called Hicklebee's(Mentioned it in THIS post!). I've been there a few times for events and just to shop with my friends. It's so funky and it's run by these sweet older ladies who love books. Plus it's an awesome bookstore. Um HELLO.

In The Future..

Being a junior in High School, a lot of thought has gone into what I want to do in the future, and while I've always wanted to be an author, but lately that tune has changed just a tad. For a while I opened up to more aspects of publishing, such as becoming a Literary Agent, Editor or even Marketor. All would be so fun and encompass my love of books and interest in the publishing industry that I'd developed because of my blogging. Who wouldn't want to work with books all the time?

And while I still want to be published some day, I've come the conclusion that I want to pursue Editting as a career. I love to discuss and analyze books and think from a writer perspective what I can do with that. It's been interesting to beta read for others and really think about how to make books better, including in my own writing. It's FUN for me and I would love to be able to join a publishing company as an editor for YA. Since being in New York City I can totally picture myself in one of those huge publishing offices on the island. HOLLA! I'm currently doing research into the kinds of things needed for these job so we'll see where I end up!

***************************************************************************
So that's me!! what about you? Thanks to Jessi for the fun meme to do! Happy Weekend! XOXO,

So it's kinda sad I have to do another one of these posts. But basically I have been very nonexistent lately and you deserve to know why. I have been drowning in busy summer things, like a two week vacation that I just go back from along with planning and meetings for upcoming events. This is like my busiest summer yet. I totally thought it was gonna be more relaxing...but NO.

However, despite the lack of Inky and posts, I'm not officially on Haitus. Why? That would just make me feel so sad to know I couldn't keep this running even a little bit. It feels like an excuse to me and I don't want to get to that point, even if I have less content for a while. That's why it's been very slow. HOWEVER. I have been getting lots of reading done and am currently getting posts ready for next week, so that I will be back to normality, despite being gone at an internet-less camp next week! Yaay!
I've missed you guys lots, and not being able to interact as much, but I've had to put blogging on the backburner for a little bit. Hopefully some new reviews and discussions next week will be awesome though. And with that said, back to the crazy!

XOXOXOXO to you all!

So.....you may have noticed the sparesness of the blog lately. It's quite sad I know. Here's the deal. I'm a doing terribly at keeping up with school and all my reading and blogging. I've been insanely busy these past two weeks, making it harder for me to chug through the normal amount of books, leaving of course..less content for the blog.

But with a more relaxed schedule coming up..I'm hoping to get back on track! But if things are kinda sparse, I'm still here!! Love to all you awesome peeps. And if you ever wanna see more Inkyness, visit me on Wednesday over at YAvengers, where I'm a part of the epic writing initiative! But until then...here's a hug!
Happy Monday! Let me know what's up with you!! XOXO,
