Welcome to my WOW, or HOW as I like to call it where I feature an upcoming release that I'm hyperventilating for! It's totally fun to geek out about upcoming releases! This event is hosted by the lovely Jill @ Breaking The Spine. Today's pick is....
The Rules (Project Paper Doll #1)
by Stacey Kade
Releasing 4.23.13 by Disney-Hyperion
Why I'm Hyperventilating..........
Okay, so for starters it's got pretty cool cover. I love how her face is kinda tense and how it's surrounded by a fabulous array of like fifty shades of blue. Of course the font is cool too. There's something about broken letters these days. ;) Totally love it. I think it totally gives the right impression for the book.
BUT NOW WE HAVE THE SYNOPSIS! Eep? Does that now sound cool? Rules, exstraterrestrial DNA, escape....oooh-la-la! I can't tell you how psyched I feel for this book! It sounds thrilling, it's more than 400 pages and it seems like a totally great read with everything good wrapped up in one book! Oh and did I totally mention it's the FIRST in a series? There will be More! The series name even gets me excited. I mean like HOW cool is Project Paper Doll? Uber-Cool!! I'm going to try and show some uber love to Hyperion and hopefully get an ARC. This is one book I DO NOT want to miss!
The Rules (Project Paper Doll #1)
by Stacey Kade
Releasing 4.23.13 by Disney-Hyperion
1. Never trust anyone.
2. Remember they are always searching.
3. Don’t get involved.
4. Keep your head down.
5. Don’t fall in love.
Five simple rules. Ariane Tucker has followed them since the night she escaped from the genetics lab where she was created, the result of combining human and extraterrestrial DNA. Ariane’s survival—and that of her adoptive father—depends on her ability to blend in among the full-blooded humans in a small Wisconsin town, to hide in plain sight at her high school from those who seek to recover their lost (and expensive) “project.” But when a cruel prank at school goes awry, it puts her in the path of Zane Bradshaw, the police chief’s son and someone who sees too much. Someone who really sees her. After years of trying to be invisible, Ariane finds the attention frightening—and utterly intoxicating. Suddenly, nothing is simple anymore, especially not the rules…
