Matched by Ally Condie

SummaryCassia has always trusted the Society to make the right choices for her: what to read, what to watch, what to believe. So when Xander's face appears on-screen at her Matching ceremony, Cassia knows with complete certainty that he is her ideal mate... until she sees Ky Markham's face flash for an instant before the screen fades to black.

The Society tells her it's a glitch, a rare malfunction, and that she should focus on the happy life she's destined to lead with Xander. But Cassia can't stop thinking about Ky, and as they slowly fall in love, Cassia begins to doubt the Society's infallibility and is faced with an impossible choice: between Xander and Ky, between the only life she's known and a path that no one else has dared to follow.

Rad Rating: 5 Stars

Genres: YA, Dystopian, Romance

Rad Review: When you go into this book, you must know this: There is hardly any action. It is not a breath-taking pace that has you turning pages to find out the resolution to the high-action drama. No, this book has you turning pages for the beautiful words and story. The battle that is Cassia and her story. Ally Condie has taken an idea used by so many and turned it into a lyrical novel that expresses it's message in a unique voice.

But I found it so beautiful and just amazing that I loved it for itself. The romance was so pretty to. The family emotions and drama, the Society that she developed. It was all brought out very well. This book was an emotional dystopian and I adored it.

Part of me wished for some action, and there were some parts that had it, but on it's own it's still amazing.
