-ABOUT DEMONS-
Author: Heather FrostPublished: 9. 11. 12 by Cedar Fort
Demons are not just killers, they are also masterminds.Kate’s life is far from normal. She can see Auras, her boyfriend is
immortal, and her powers make her a target. But now that the Demon Lord
is hunting her, things are about to go from dangerous to truly deadly.
Packed with action, mind-blowing plot twists, and characters you can’t
get enough of, this is a fast-paced, heart-pounding read from cover to
cover.
-Interview With Heather-
What made you want to become a writer? Was it a favorite author? Event? Inspiration?
I’ve always just loved reading. That’s what motivated me to become an
author. I just love a good story, and I found out I could not only read
them, but explore them in my own mind and put them down into words.
Describe your book in 5 words. Romance, Mystery, Suspense, Humor, Mind-Blowing-Twists.
In one sentence, what makes your books unique? The Seers Trilogy takes a dark subject (Demons who hunt humans and Seers, for crying out loud) but the book doesn’t make you feel gross, like a lot of the “darker” YA out there—it’s just a story filled with characters you actually care about, and a plot that will keep you reading until the last page.
What inspired the idea for your books/series? Was it a random flash or based off something? A mixture of both. I’d been thinking about immortality, kind of musing about how I could write an original story when there are so many clichés about immortals out there. It took a couple years of quiet thinking before one day it all clicked into place. Guardians, Demons, and Seers—I started writing that same day.
If your character had to be renamed what would it be? When I was picking out the name “Kate” I was also considering names that start with the letter L. “Lynn” was one I played around with a bit. Although I can’t really picture that now…
You're stranded on a desert island with one book. What is it? Jane Eyre
What is your favorite kind of scene to write? I really like the “reveal” scenes. When suspense has been stretched to the max, and then I get to change everything by revealing some vital secret. That’s my favorite. Next to that, I really do enjoy the funny scenes and dialogue that comes with it.
Why did you choose to write for YA? It’s what I like to read. A fun fact about genres, though: The strange thing about The Seers Trilogy is that before writing Seers, I’d never written a “modern” story. All of my others were fantasy.
