The Book in 3 Words: Amazing, Captivating, Thrilling
Rad Review: When I read Lisa's blog and found out that she offering a PDF Proofed copy of Bourne to book bloggers, I jumped at the chance. I own the River of Time trilogy and love it! I was so excited when I heard about this book because Torrent didn't have a lot of wrap up. Bourne was totally great. I gobbled it up in a couple sittings, especially due to the fact that it's a novella.
I loved being back in Italy with the gang. Gabi and Lia, and all the rest. Love those guys! One thing I really enjoyed was that for the first time we got a taste of Lia's POV. Yeah! I really can't wait for her to resurface with her own novel in Tributary. Don't think I'll be able to wait. I found that for part of the book I just wanted to read Lia. Only Lia. Ditch Gabi. Her story is done. However much I love Gabi, it's Lia's time to shine. Yeah for She-Wolf #2! And Luca.....I've always loved Luca for his humorous personality and fun aspect that he gives to the book. We got a little more in depth with his character since Lia's finally giving her voice. I really liked getting to know him a little more.
Once again Lisa's writing was fab and sucked me into the tension, the adventure, the action, the romance, and 13th cent. Italy. I have always loved how well she portrays the time period and gets into the girls as they experience how hard it was to live back then. I'm now stuck in this prolonged happiness period, the kind you experience after you read a really good book and it just sticks with you for days. Don't think I want it to leave. Fabulous novella, Bourne was.
