Welcome to Feature & Follow! This meme is hosted by Parajunkee &Allison Can Read. The purpose is to meet and follow new bloggers and get your own new followers! It's a total win-win!
This Week's Question:
What drove you to start book blogging in the first place?
Inky's Response:
Well honestly, it wasn't the free books or publicity that drove me here. It was my pure, intense love of books. I talk books to my friends SO much that sometimes I think they'd get annoyed every time I'd ask them what they were reading. So I needed another place to vent. Somewhere other book lovers could listen and connect! And that is how my humble little Book Haven began! Did I mention it's Extraordinaire? ;)
I'd love to hear about your beginnings!

I don't have any book lover type friends in real life. Someone on GR suggested that I try Meet Up.com, but the only group active near me looked like a bunch of Stepford Wives. They looked like they were more into drinking than reading, too. Oops, I know that sounds overly judgmental.

Will stop by! Thanks for dropping in!
DeleteI like thinking about books which is really how my book blog came to be. You don't get enough literary conversations in the real world.
ReplyDeleteMy follow friday! Please visit
I mean you can but not the PURE joy of reading. So true!
DeleteIt's so wonderful that you were lured by the promise of free books like so many of us were (me included!).

Hope you can stop by my new blog, Ensconced in YA!
http://cahreviews.blogspot.com
Haha yeah I wasn't even aware of most of the book oppurtunities till I really got serious! It's a total plus! :D
DeleteI used to never have anyone to talk books with...it was so sad! Since I started blogging, there is always someone to talk to about a certain book! I love it!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend Hannah!
I totally understand!! My friends didn't know what I was talking about and my hubby got so annoyed with me, lol. So I needed a place to discuss books with other book lovers. YAY at us for finding a little corner of the net to do so :0) Thanks for following me!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great having people to talk to and know who you're talking about!? Thanks for stopping by!!
ReplyDeleteRight?! I only have two friends who still read YA so I need the blogs just to get all my feelings out haha I'm a new follower :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, I don't really have much on the book friends. Most of them are gaming friends.

have a great weekend!
I know what you mean. My friends read a fraction of what I do and it's not often the same time of books! Book blogs are great! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Returning the follow via GFC!
ReplyDeleteI know, right? My friends say they are readers, but they don't read nearly as much as I do, so I understand the need to talk books online. :) Old follower.
ReplyDeleteI've nominated you for Liebster! I don't know if you have been before, but you haven't this month. So yay for you!
